Lichfield City were left to rue what might have been as they went down 3-0 against league leaders Walsall Wood.
Finishing in front of goal proved to be the difference between the two sides in this fixture.
Lichfield had the better of the first half, Ashley Evans firing over after some great build up play. Liam Holt also headed over from six yards as City looked a match for their opponents.
But the second half saw Walsall Wood open the scoring with Ahmet sublimely chipping keeper Johnson and they soon doubled that lead with another clinical finish.
City continued to create chances, Ashley Bennett and Lee Ashmore both firing wide, while Jacob Snape forced a fine save from the visiting keeper before Walsall Wood sealed the game with a third late on.
