LICHFIELD City Women will have all eyes on fixtures elsewhere this weekend as the title could come their way without them even kicking a ball.
The Trade Tyre Community Stadium outfit have just one game left this season, a trip to Walsall – the only side who can prevent them being champions – on 17th April.
But the outcome of the West Midlands Regional League Division One North could be settled before then if the Saddlers fail to beat Rugby Town on Sunday (12th April).
Lichfield’s advantage is currently eight points with Walsall having two games in hand. It means that if the Saddlers fail to be victorious in all three of their remaining fixtures then the title will be City’s.
