Lichfield club joins campaign to attract more people to golf

People are being invited to get into the swing and take up golf.

Lichfield Golf & Country Club is joining a Staffordshire initiative aimed at attracting new participants of all ages.

The Get Into Golf campaign is aiming to highlight the social and health benefits of a regular round at a local club.

“Golf is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities,” said Sean Hammill from the Staffordshire County Golf Partnership. “But some people may have the wrong impression that if they did not start playing when they were younger then they have missed out.

“Nothing can be further from the truth and our new starter centres have expert advice available for adults who still want to give golf a try.

“Starting out alongside other beginners means you are all in the same boat together and makes for a fun way to learn.”

Learn to play five-week courses offer introductory skills and cost £25 for beginners.
