A LICHFIELD business has raised £1,800 for a local charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
Melbourne coffee shop, on Bird Street, opened on Christmas Day after staff volunteered to serve customers in aid of Pathway Project.
More than £1,600 was raised, with the total being rounded up to £1,800 by the owners.
A spokesperson said:
“We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us on the day or online. Some people came in before Christmas and popped some cash into the jar as well.
“This isn’t a reflection on us as a cafe, but as a reflection of your community spirit. We have had so many people make this happen, from our coffee suppliers at Hundred House Coffee, to local businesses supporting us, the Pathway volunteers to our beautiful regular customers and park runners .”
