Lichfield Diamonds Girls teams brought the curtain down on a trophy-laden 2008-2009 season in fine form with the under 13 and under 12 teams winning their respective age groups at the Uttoxeter Junior five-aside tournament.
The under 14 side took runners-up spot and both under 11 teams went out narrowly in the semi-finals.
As the countdown begins to the start of the new season Diamonds are preparing to field girls teams at under 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 and over open age.
Chairman Mic Sharrod said:
“It’s great to see so many girls coming into the sport and joining Lichfield Diamonds – some for the first time some from other teams.
