Lichfield District Council’s signature reminder to proxy and postal voters

Published:

People who have held a postal, proxy or postal proxy vote since before January 2007 are being reminded that they need to provide a new copy of their signature.

Lichfield District Council is sending out a form for people – and are warning those who don’t that they will be unable to vote this way if they do not return it.

Nina Dawes, Electoral Registration Officer, said: “If you have been voting by post or by proxy for more than five years, please look out for a new form that we’re sending to your address this month.

“You will need to sign and return it in the reply paid envelope so we can update our records with your renewed signature. It’s important that you return the form as quickly as possible because, if we don’t receive it, we legally have to send you a reminder three weeks later.”
