The Lichfield Festival is celebrating after being crowned Best Midlands Music Festival in the 2018 What’s On Readers’ Awards.
The event was also named runner-up in the Best Festival in Staffordshire category.
Collecting the awards, Francesca Richards, the festival’s executive director, said: “This is a fantastic accolade for the Lichfield Festival and we’re thrilled to have had so much support from our audiences and stakeholders.”
This year’s event runs from July 4 to 14, and will feature the likes of Strictly Come Dancing stars Neil and Katya Jones, comedians Tom Allen and Mark Steel, restaurant critic and jazz pianist Jay Rayner, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
