A Christmas Carol, which starred The Bill actor Graham Cole, received rave reviews from national and local press.

Adrian Jackson, Lichfield Garrick’s artistic and executive director, said: “I’m delighted with the huge success of A Christmas Carol.

“Last year’s production of Peter Pan was a record breaker, so to have topped that this year is fantastic.

“A Christmas Carol was the first time we’ve produced a festive musical show as opposed to a panto and I’m thrilled with the response. The performances for the schools were a huge success, with many schools deciding to study the Charles Dickens story before coming to see the show.

“We now have to raise the bar again and produce another spectacular Christmas show that will top A Christmas Carol. With the great team we have at the Garrick I know we can do this.”

The Lichfield Garrick will announce its festive show for 2012 later this month.
