The life and music of Francis Poulenc will be celebrated at the Lichfield Garrick on January 30.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the famous composer and pianist’s death, soprano Jacqueline White and pianist Clive Matthews will present a recital programme entirely devoted to his work.
A spokesperson said: “His pieces include examples of opera, oratorio, ballet, orchestral, choral and chamber music, but he was most prolific and is perhaps best known for his contributions to the solo piano and song repertoires, much of which he premiered.”
Tickets for the 7.30pm performance start at £10 and can be booked online at www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the box office on 01543 412121.
