A Lichfield mum is set to pound the streets of the capital to raise money for charity.
Alice Walsh will take part in the London Marathon in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
She revealed that the charity had a place close to her heart.
“I currently have both friends and relatives who have fought or are still fighting breast cancer,” she said.
“I run because it’s good for me and because I enjoy it. But I also run because it will help reduce my risk of contracting any kind of cancer. I have three children who need me and the very thought of my children losing me and worse still, losing the memory of me, breaks my heart.”
