A Lichfield netball player has jetted off across the Atlantic after being selected for the World Youth Championships squad.
Lauren Massey won one of the coveted 12 places for the under-21 tournament in Glasgow this August and has now flown to the Caribbean for warm-up matches against Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
The 19-year-old has been marked out as one of Britain’s brightest youngest sporting stars after being chosen to become part of the Jaguar Academy of Sport.
