Lichfield Nomads were outclassed against a strong Bloxwich side.

The visitors lost the toss and they were first to bowl. However, Lichfield’s opening pair of Heslington and D Moss failed to claim a wicket.

Moss was replaced by J Hoddy after he was forced off with yet another injury.

And Hoddy was in inspired form as he took a stumping off his first ball. D Forster then took the next wicket as he came on for Heslington.

But D Pickering proved most deadly with the ball taking an impressive four wickets.

Bloxwich’s captain declared at 186. However, his players continued to finish on a total of 222.

Lichfield opened the batting with P Gardner and Keith Stanley. But Gardner was caught out just as he started to score some runs.

Unfortunately,  for the visitors batsman D Rolfe and Moss could not make it a contest, as they were bowled out cheaply.

And Lichfield could do nothing to change the result as Bloxwich ran out clear winners.
