A local theatre group are on the lookout for a missing prop to help them stage their new production of classic comedy ‘Allo ‘Allo.
The Lichfield Players have sourced a number of period pieces, but now need to find an authentic till.
“The play is set during World War II in the French town of Nouvion, and we’d love to make everything on stage fit the very specific time capsule,” said producer Kathy Bryers. “The cast have nailed their characters, we’ve ordered costumes which will look familiar to the TV show’s fans, and would love to get all the finer details spot on.”
Written by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft, the creators of the world-famous sitcom, and true to the TV series, ‘Allo ‘Allo’s stage play follows the misadventures of hapless cafe owner Rene Artois in occupied France.
