Santa Claus will definitely be coming to town this year as Lichfield Round Table bring their Christmas sleigh to the streets once more.
The volunteers will make their first appearance at the Christmas lights switch-on on November 29.
They will then embark on a tour of Lichfield and Burntwood’s streets to help raise money for local charities and community groups.
A spokesperson for Lichfield Round Table said: “Each night Lichfield Round Table are joined by a local good cause to help escort Santa and knock on a few doors.
“We collected more than £13,500 for good causes last year.”

Details of the sleigh’s route are available online, while people will also be able to donate in new ways too.
“Santa has outsourced a techie Elf this year, and enabled donations by text message,” a spokesperson added. “To donate £3, people can text ‘LFRT15 £3’ to 70070. One hundred per cent of the money will go to the Lichfield Round Table Charity and be shared out with the local good causes helping on the routes.”
