Dave Bassett believes Lichfield RUFC’s latest win proves that they are capable of winning silverware this season.
The club skipper saw his side come through a tough test in their weekend win at Stourbridge Lions.
And despite the poor form of their hosts in the lead up to the game, Bassett believes he saw enough from his colleagues to be confident for what the rest of the season may hold.
He said:
“It was a great team performance and a clear indication that Lichfield are determined to challenge for honours this season.
“The young squad are rising to the challenge of league rugby and their target now will be to put together an 80 minute performance in all of the forthcoming league fixtures.”
