A Lichfield school is asking parents to help shape a new anti-bullying initiative.
King Edward VI School has already been canvassing the opinions of staff and parents of Year 7 and 10 pupils, but is now rolling out the project to other year groups.
The move is part of Staffordshire County Council’s Anti-Bullying Pledge Scheme.
Assistant head teacher Jan Appleton said in a letter to parents:
“As a school we recognise that bullying is a serious issue that all schools battle with and so in Autumn 2008 we were one of the earlier secondary schools to sign up. Since then all students, staff and governors have completed questionnaires to help us gather information on the areas of focus we should select for our first action plan.”
Parents have until October 9 to fill in the questionnaire.
