A SUPPORT group in Lichfield is being launched for people with chronic lung conditions like asthma and COPD.

Breathe Easy East Staffs (BEES) is a community-based, non-clinical support group.

It is open to people with lung conditions and their families, and is led by those with lived experience and supported by healthcare professionals.

Judy O’Dowd, from BEES, said:

"We have the space, we have the speakers, we have the tea and cake, and we have exciting ideas for future activities and events.

"We want to encourage people who are struggling to manage their condition or feel they can offer support to others to join us for a chat with experts and like-minded peers and to have a bit of fun at the same time."

The group meets at 1.30pm on the third Friday of each month at the community room in Lichfield's Tesco Extra store.

In addition to these sessions, there will also be a programme of local walks.
