Head coach Paul Bannister said: “We have been delighted with the progress of the junior swimmers this year, with their hard work, commitment and dedication in training really paying off and resulting in some fantastic performances.

“We would like to thank Midland Expressway Ltd’s social committee for their generous contribution of the team kit and hats.”

The club, which was founded in 1968, now has more than 100 members aged from eight years old.

Jim Allen, Midland Expressway Ltd’s finance manager, said: “I am very pleased that the social committee agreed to support Lichfield Swimming Club, especially with my daughter being a member of their junior team.

“I wish every success to the young swimmers.”
