Members of Lichfield Swimming Club have taken a well deserved break from training to celebrate a year of success.
The event saw head coach Paul Bannister make presentations for individual age group winners, most improved and individual awards for these who have achieved throughout the year.
“The past 12 months have been a great success with an incredible 797 personal best times achieved since May, a record 238 Staffs qualifying times and 151 club records,” he said.
“Our improved times have given us the edge reaching third place in the Staffs League final round and much improved places in the National Arena Division 3 and the Mercian League.
“The club has plenty to look forward to and is on track to do more in 2014. The majority of the our swimming time has now been consolidated to the newly refurbished Friary Swimming Pool so we now has somewhere to call home.”
