YOUNG tennis players from Lichfield have represented Staffordshire in a national competition.
Henry Mason and Harry Brooks competed in the 11U County Cup, a which showcases the best players from across the country.
They competed in a two-day qualifying event, followed by a three-day finals contest featuring the top-performing counties.
And the two ten-year-olds played a pivotal role in Staffordshire’s run to victory, helping the team overcome strong opposition from Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.
Head coach Ben Ledson-Perry said:
“I’m incredibly proud of Henry and Harry and the progress they continue to make.
“Their determination and teamwork have been outstanding – I’m really excited to see where their journey takes them next.”
