Lichfield will host its first ever FA Cup tie this season.

The city has never before seen a game in the world’s most famous cup competition played here.

But after Lichfield City FC were drawn at home against Wolverhampton Casuals, Dave Langston’s men will make history on August 6.

The Brownsfield Park side made their first ever appearance in the FA cup two seasons ago when they were knocked out at Leek Town after winning 3-1 away to Black Country Rangers in the previous round.

The draw for the FA Vase, meanwhile, has handed Lichfield a bye in the first preliminary round.

They will now face the winner of Whitchurch Alport and Wellington tie in the following stage.
