LOCALS are being asked to throw open their doors as Lichfield prepares to host twin town celebrations.
Visitors from Limburg an der Lahn in Germany and Ste Foy lès Lyon in France will visit the city later this year for the event.
A spokesperson for Lichfield City Council said:
“We are seeking local residents who would be willing to host visitors during the weekend 2nd to 5th October and help us extend a warm welcome to Lichfield.
“Hosts are asked to provide a comfortable spare room and bed and breakfast.
“The city council will be on hand throughout the weekend to provide support for guests and is organising a programme of civic, cultural and community events.
“These visits offer wonderful opportunities to reconnect with old friends or forge new connections and are a meaningful way to experience cultural exchange.”
