Longdon has become the eight area across Lichfield and Burntwood to formally submit a Neighbourhood Plan.
The document outlines how the area could be shaped in the future and help provide a framework for future development.
A six-week consultation will now take place until March 9 for locals to give their views.
The results will then go to an independent examiner who will decide if they meet national requirements before going forward to a local referendum.
