Lonnie Donegan’s son set to tell his father’s story in Lichfield

The music of Lonnie Donegan MBE will be brought back by his son at a concert in Lichfield.

As a keyboard player in his father’s band, Peter Donegan learned the musical skills he will be displaying during the performance on February 16.

BBC Radio’s Paul Harris will host the concert which will feature a mixture of Lonnie’s own songs as well as some new material.

Audience questions will also be welcome as Peter tells stories of life with his legendary father behind the scenes in showbiz.

The Lonnie Donegan Story will be at the Lichfield Garrick on February 16 at 7.30pm.
