Lichfield City kept up their winning streak with a fine 3-0 home victory against Phoenix United FC.
With a large number of suspensions and injuries and top striker Sean Williams moving to Cradley during the week, Russell Dodds had to rely on pulling in a number of players who have been playing well for the reserves.
City started on top and created a few half chances. They broke the deadlock when a good move ended up with a save from the keeper rolling out to Lewis Bourne who calmly side footed the ball in to the net.
In the second half Lichfield continued their dominance and added two more goals. The first was a great strike from Mark Rose who latched on to a ball down the right and then volleyed it into the far corner.
Rose then added his second and Lichfield’s third when he scrambled the ball over the line after a good cross from Lee Ashmore.
