Family and motherhood will be explored in a new art exhibition in Lichfield.

The Emporium Gallery on Bird Street will feature work by pastel artist Ann Wilkinson between March 21 and April 1.
A spokesperson said: “Ann’s paintings have a warm and delightful narrative of everyday human lives, with interesting surface patterns and compositions that takes into consideration every shape of the subject matter and the spaces between.
“Working on a group of three or four paintings at a time, Ann makes a series of sketches from drawings and photographs before drawing her final compositions in charcoal, then, by using a limited pallet of pastels with strong tonal variations to emphasise the overall unity, she creates her charming compositions.”
