Lichfield’s Proms in the Park has been hailed as a “huge success”.
Thousands turned out for the free event in Beacon Park on Saturday.
Traditional proms music was rounded off with a firework finale.
Among those who enjoyed the concert was the city’s MP Michael Fabricant. He said: “Lichfield Proms in the Park was a huge success.
“The City of Lichfield Concert Band, the British Police Symphony Orchestra and the singers were outstanding, and with the thousands there, it was like the ‘Lichfield family’ coming together.
“Lichfield District Council and local sponsors are to be congratulated. Few other district councils run events like this on such a large scale.”
