A full programme of entertainment will accompany this year’s Christmas lights switch on in Lichfield’s Market Square.
Tom Woodman will kick off proceedings on Thursday (November 22) at 4pm with his own brand of bluesy rock, before city-based siger-songwriter Dean James takes to the stage at 4.35pm.
Gypsy jazz and the hits of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Hoagy Carmichael will be on offer from Fret and Fiddle at 5.20pm, with the traditional Christmas carols being offered up by the Christchurch School Choir at 6.40pm.
The button will be pressed to turn on the lights at 7pm before Midlands five-piece Rebel Creek hit the stage ten minutes later.
Market Street will be open from noon to 8pm with a number of Christmas-themed stalls.
