A new road in Burntwood could be named after a butcher’s shop which once stood on the site.
Homes are being built on land off the High Street in Chasetown and proposals have now been drawn up to give a nod to the site’s past.
A letter explaining the plan said: “The Robinson family had a butchers shop on the site for several generations and were well known in the area.”
The proposed names for the new road are:
- Robinson Court
- Robinson Mews
- Robinson Place
Councillors will discuss the idea at a meeting of the Burntwood Town Council planning committee on Monday (June 6).
