THE third episode of a podcast exploring life at St Giles Hospice is launching this month.
The We're Dying To Tell You Something four-part series has been created by Birmingham City University students Maya Davis and Kyle Salmon in collaboration with the Whittington-based charity.
The latest edition – Raising Every Penny – features some of the thousands of people who help to ensure funding is available for the hospice to continue caring for those who need it.
They include James Lewis, who is currently embarking on a challenge to dribble a football from Africa to the Midlands, and Charlotte Mills who works to support others in their fundraising efforts. They are joined by Lorraine Ward, regional manager of St Giles' retail network.
The episode explores how St Giles raises close to £10million a year, why community support is essential when less than a quarter is funded by the Government, and the stories behind the fundraisers and volunteers who make it happen.

The podcast was recorded at St Giles Hospice and created by the students as part of their Media Production course under the guidance of senior lecturer Meera Darji and editor Dan Whitehouse.

The final episode will launch in October for Hospice Care Week, featuring a community nurse and family member sharing their experiences of end-of-life care.
