Lichfield RUFC’s Colts have secured a deal with a new sponsor.
The team made their first appearance in their M6 Toll-branded shirts in their game on October 10.

The shirts have been supplied as part of the sponsorship deal with Midland Expressway Ltd (MEL) operators of the M6 toll road.
Chairman Dave Bassett said:
“The club and particularly the Colts team were delighted to hear that as a result of discussions with Peter Cleaver (Head of Tolling at MEL) a new set of shirts carrying the M6 Toll logo and sponsored by Midland Expressway Ltd will be worn during the 2009/10 season.”
The Colts are the link team between the junior sides and the senior ranks.
The team are currently top of their league with a 100 per cent record following their 37-7 win against Sutton Coldfield on Saturday.

The sponsorship forms part of a wider initiative by Midland Expressway Ltd to support local sport.
Tom Fanning, CEO of Midland Expressway Ltd, added:
“We are very pleased to sponsor the Colts team and wish them every success for the future. The club is close to the heart of our own Peter Cleaver, who used to play for the club before moving on to coach and presently sits on the committee. We are looking at similar opportunities to support the youth of Staffordshire and this is a golden opportunity to make a difference, particularly when a member of our staff is involved.”
