LOCAL electric vehicle drivers have been given a boost with the opening of a new ultra-rapid charging hub.
InstaVolt has introduced 14 points at Wall Island, each capable of delivering up to 160kW.
The company said the site would enable many electric vehicles to charge from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes.
The hub also includes four fully accessible bays and contactless payment options.

"We want to give drivers confidence wherever their journey takes them, delivering sites where they can relax, reset and recharge.
"Every charge is also powered by clean and renewable energy to power emission-free miles and support sustainable travel."
Off-peak rates for drivers using the InstaVolt app or RFID card at the charging hub are 55p per kWh between 8pm and 7am.
