The Chairman of Lichfield District Council, Cllr Mark Warfield, officially launched the courses at Beacon Park earlier this week.

To mark the occasion, the opening day saw visitors able to buy one game and get one free.

Cllr Warfield said: “I was delighted to open the foot golf and disc golf courses at Beacon Park. Members of the league kindly showed me how to play both games and I can confirm that they are great fun.

“It’s brilliant that we can now offer these games to visitors to Beacon Park, encouraging more people to use the golf course and to get out into the fresh air and get active.”

Rounds costs £8 for adults and £6 for children for an 18-hole game, and £5 for adults and £4 for children for a 9-hole game.
