Lichfield City FC came back down to earth with a bump after their midweek cup win by crashing 2-0 against Littleton.
Two first half goals were enough to kill City’s interest in a game where they struggled to fully get going.
The opener came after poor marking allowed Littleton to open the scoring before they spurned a number of chances to double their advantage.
But the second goal looked inevitable and it fully came when a cheeky backheel saw the ball find the Lichfield net.
City looked better after the break but never looked likely to mount a comeback, and will be hoping for better on Tuesday night when they play their first game on the new 3G pitch at Brownsfield Park with a home league cup clash with Rocester.
