LOCAL organisations are being invited to apply for funding to deliver projects for residents.
Lichfield District Council is making money available from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) – a sum paid by developers to support facilities and infrastructure.
This year’s focus will be on areas such as healthcare, transport, sports facilities and education.
Previous projects supported through CIL include improvements to the multi-use games area in Alrewas and new 3G pitches at Chasetown Football Club and Lichfield Leisure Centre.
Cllr Alex Farrell, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for housing and the Local Plan, said:
“The Community Infrastructure Levy funds capital projects benefiting residents across Lichfield District.
“We would encourage any organisation with a project that meets these priorities to come forward and speak to us about their ideas.”
Organisations interested in applying should email cil@lichfielddc.gov.uk to discuss their proposal and confirm eligibility.
The deadline for fully completed applications is 5pm on 8th May.
