The story of 30 men and women who’ve made their mark on wartime history will be explored at the Lichfield Garrick next week.

Peter Snow and his wife Ann MacMillan have pulled together the tales for a new book War Stories.
It includes stories such as the incredible escape of John Bukleley and a handful of the crew of a Royal Navy warship wrecked on the wild coast of Chile and the ordeal of a Syrian refugee and his family who nearly drowned during their escape to Greece.
A spokesperson said: “These stories are the stuff that legends are built upon, stories of the men and women who have pushed the barriers of bravery, suffering and sheer terror beyond the imaginable.”
War Stories is at the Lichfield Garrick on October 5. The show will be followed by a book signing. Tickets are £20 and can be booked online or by calling the box office on 01543 412121.
