Shoppers in Lichfield have been given the chance to find out more about the Staffordshire Police Cadets.
The youngsters were out and about in Lichfield city centre with the county’s Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Arnold.
As well as talking about the cadets initiative, the group were promoting a fundraising performance by the British Police Symphony Orchestra at the Lichfield Garrick on April 12, 2014.
All proceeds will go towards the Staffordshire Police Cadets allowing new units to be formed and provide uniforms and transport.
“Staffordshire Young Police Cadets are already working hard to support their local community,” said Deputy Commissioner Arnold. “The service is all about giving advantages to young people — some from challenging backgrounds — who through a positive and vibrant programme can learn how to become responsible citizens.
“Tickets will make great Christmas presents for friends and family while as well as ensuring your hard-earned money goes to a great cause which is making a real difference locally.”
