THE Staffordshire Commissioner has selected his “preferred candidate” for the role as the county’s Chief Fire Officer.
The vacancy has been created following a decision by Rob Barber to stand down.
An interview process has now seen Glynn Luznyj – currently Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Deputy Chief Fire Officer – endorsed by Staffordshire Commissioner Ben Adams.
The appointment is now subject to the outcome of a confirmation hearing at a Police, Fire and Crime Panel hearing on 9th February.
