It may only be March but preparations are already underway for the Lichfield Garrick’s Christmas show.
The theatre has confirmed that Snow White and the Magic Mirror will be this year’s festive special, following on from the success of A Christmas Carol and Alice in Wonderland in previous years.
Adrian Jackson, Lichfield Garrick’s chief executive and artistic director, said: “We have enjoyed a great run of successful Christmas productions and I know the classic fairytale will continue in this tradition.
“Over the last two years, our audiences have enjoyed our Christmas musicals, which have received great reviews This year we bring back the fun of pantomime and Snow White will have it all – spectacular Christmas scenes, great music and dance routines, and a dame which the kids will love!”
In Snow White and the Magic Mirror, Fraulein Strudel welcomes you to Transylvania, the home of Queen Evilene. But is the Queen’s evil reign about to end with the arrival of the beautiful Snow White?
Will Snow White marry Prince Harry and live happily ever after? And, just who are Pugh, Pugh, Barney, McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub?
The show will run from December 5 to January 5. Tickets start at £12.50 for children and from £20 for adults, and can be booked online at www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the box office on 01543 412121. The theatre is also offering an early bird discount for tickets on December 6, 7 and 8. Entry to these performances is £10 for children and £15 for adults and must be booked before May 1.
