The story of The Elephant Man is coming to the Lichfield Garrick.
Joseph Merrick’s rise from Victorian sideshow curiosity to the toast of London society will be relived at the city theatre between September 17 and 21.
A spokesperson said: “Under the care of a famous young doctor, Merrick changes from a sensational object of pity to the urbane and witty favourite of the aristocracy.”
