Chasetown FC’s record appearance holder has returned to the club.
Defender Chris Slater had announced his decision to quit The Scholars earlier this summer after breaking Andy Cox’s appearance record.
But the former Port Vale man has now done a u-turn and re-signed with the club.
A Chasetown spokesperson said: “We look forward to welcoming Chris back.”
