A planned road closure in Lichfield has been cancelled.

Staffordshire County Council had hoped to shut the carriageway to repair potholes on the A5127 in Streethay on tomorrow (18th June) and Sunday.

But Cllr David Williams, cabinet member for highways and transport, said the work had now been pushed back.

“Our highways crews were intending to carry out a number of pothole repairs in the area.

“Unfortunately due to the bad weather and heavy rain forecast over the weekend, the works now need to be rearranged.”

No new date has been confirmed for the repairs to take place.
