Sarah Gillespie is returning to the Lichfield Guildhall with her quartet to perform her latest piece.
The War on Trevor has been commissioned through the PRS British Female Songwriter scheme and is a narrative piece of music that depicts the plight of a luckless London lad who repeatedly gets mistaken for a terrorist.
The piece combines musical interludes on guitar, accordion, double bass, cello, drums and clarinet with song sections.
Lichfield Arts director Chris Newcombe said: “Sarah Gillespie is a rare talent and we are delighted to bring her back to Lichfield.”
