CHILDREN from a local school have gone on a pilgrimage to Lichfield Cathedral for a special Jubilee Mass.
The St Joseph’s RC Primary School Year 3 pupils joined 500 other youngsters from Catholic primary schools across the Diocese of Lichfield for the service, which saw Bishop Timothy Menezes as the lead celebrant.
Headteacher Dee McLeary said:
“This was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to come together in worship with other primary schools from across the diocese.
“Our Year 3 class walked to the cathedral with eagerness and excitement. Their reverence throughout the celebration and their excellent behaviour made them a true credit to our school.”
