SHAZAD Malik produced an inspired performance to help Whittington to victory at Swindon.
After being sent into the field first, the villagers made good early progress, reducing the hosts to 90-5.
But the Swindon middle order dug deep with three players passing 40 runs as the innings eventually saw them bowled out for 230, with Malik finishing with figures of 5-31.
Whittington's reply got off to a solid start, reaching 44 before losing the first of just two wickets as they chased down the target.
It was Malik who provided the star turn with bat just as he had with ball as he fired an unbeaten 136 off 148 balls to take his side past the total with just under two overs to spare and earn an eight-wicket triumph.
