Lichfield jazz singer Simon Partridge will perform at The Sportsway – home of Burntwood Rugby Club – on Sunday (March 29) to launch the party’s general election battle in the area.

Simon – who is also acting as the Greens’ communications offer in the area – said: “What’s happening with the Green Party here in Lichfield and Burntwood is being echoed across the country. People have had enough of politics as usual and are ready for change. I’m proud to be part of that change.

“In less than four months we’ve grown from a handful of supporters meeting in a cafe in Lichfield to standing a candidate at the general election in May.”

The event, which runs from 4pm til 7pm, is open to everyone and will give supporters and locals the chance to meet prospective MP Robert Pass.
