Singers from across Staffordshire are coming together for a special performance of Hayden’s Creation at Lichfield Cathedral.
Staffordshire Performing Arts is staging the performance on Saturday (April 28) at 7.30pm.
Soprano Natalie Clifton-Griffiths, contralto Deborah Miles-Johnson, tenor Andrew Mackenzie-Wicks and bass Michael Bundy will be guest soloists with Staffordshire County Chorus, Staffordshire Youth Choir and the Staffordshire Symphony Orchestra in the performance of one of Hayden’s most famous works.
Cllr Liz Staples said: “It is testament to the quality of musicianship we have that we can attract internationally recognised performers to perform at our events.
“Last year we celebrated 40 years of the County Chorus, and this latest performance shows that it’s still going stronger than ever.
“The county oratorio has over 50 years of tradition behind it and I’m sure this year’s show will prove to be the best yet and I am looking forward to attending.”
The concert takes place on April 28 at 7.30pm at Lichfield Cathedral. Tickets start at £7 and are available by calling Staffordshire Performing Arts on 01785 278284.
