A Lichfield cyclist has been getting advice from sporting stars as part of a talent day for some of the country’s top young athletes.

Sophie Capewell, 14, joined a group of junior hopefuls for a question and answer session with Tim Henman.
They were also treated to a session with British sprinter Montell Douglas, rower Toby Garbett and conditioning specialist Nick Grantham as part of the Jaguar Academy of Sport scheme.
“It has been fun and different,” Sophie said. “I particularly enjoyed the time with Tim Henman.”
Sophie has been earmarked as one of Britain’s rising sporting stars and proved her pedigree when she finished second recently in the European Track Junior World Championships in Holland.
She is also leading the televised Revolution Series.
