A TALK on the life of William Strutt will feature as the Lunar Lecture series continues.
Dr Ian Jackson will give his lecture – A tradesman of some eminence – at Erasmus Darwin House at 7pm on 1st October.
A spokesperson said:
"This talk traces his life, both personal and work, with the progression of his more famous improvements, such as fire-proof mills and the stove heating system.
"While William Strutt was recognised widely during his lifetime, he is not on the list of great British engineers today – this research hopes to change that."
