Norfolk have wrapped up the Lichfield Leisure Leagues six-a-side title after an exciting season of football – and could now scoop glory on a national stage.
The team, who play in the Sunday competition at King Edward VI School have romped to the Premier Division title complete with an unbeaten record, demonstrating their dominance throughout the current campaign.
Senior League Manager Chris Rowntree said:
“They have been a credit to the league, as well as themselves, and were thoroughly deserved winners.”
Norfolk will be receiving their state-of-the-art trophies, and they have now been invited to the National six-a-side Football Championships where they will have the opportunity to compete against the top small-sided teams from across the United Kingdom. Should they win that tournament, they will head to a European contest in the Algarve.
